- Progress reports must contain measurable statements identifying whether or not the child/student is making progress toward his or her annual goals. DO NOT include statements like, "Jaden is doing well in math" or "Sadie's reading comprehension has improved" as they are not measurable.
- You must choose "yes" or "no" next to "sufficient" on all SRS progress reports. Marking "sufficient" is meant to indicate that the child/student is making expected progress toward the goal. If the student has not, you should select "no" and provide an explanation. Then, you should strongly consider holding an IEP team meeting to discuss why sufficient progress has not been made and determine what to do about it.
- The benchmarks are not included on progress reports because the progress measurement should be focused on the annual goal. So, if you wish to report progress on the individual benchmarks, you can copy and paste them into the comment section and write your comments following each one.
- The progress reports pull the goals from the most recently finalized IEP. You can start a new IEP in draft status without impacting the previous progress reports.
- Rule 51 & Progress Reports: "A description of how the child's progress toward meeting the annual goals described in 92 NAC 51-007.07A2 will be measured and when periodic reports on the progress the child is making toward meeting the annual goals (such as through the use of quarterly or other periodic reports, concurrent with the issuance of report cards) will be provided" (007.07A4). This means that progress reports must happen at least as frequently as progress reports occur for general education students.
