Workshop Postponement/Cancellation Policy 2025-2026
To ensure the quality and effectiveness of professional learning events, workshops may be postponed or cancelled.
The ESU 1 Workshop Facilitator(s) and the ESU 1 Director of Teaching and Learning will review the following items to make a decision on whether to proceed, postpone, or cancel the workshop.
- Current registration numbers.
- Recommend a minimum of 5 registered participants at least 5 business days before the scheduled date.
- Any contractual obligations, travel, etc., relating to outside speakers.
- Potential date(s) for rescheduling the workshop.
- Alternative support for the canceled workshop.
- Inclement Weather Conditions (e.g., Advisories & Warnings)
- Safety for participants and presenter(s)
- Unforeseen Circumstances
In the event of a postponement or cancellation, all registered participants will be notified promptly via school email. Information will also be shared via the ESU 1 website.
