Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training 10-17-2025
We will be utilizing a hybrid learning system for the training, which means part of the training will take place independently using an online classroom, and part will take place in person. This adds flexibility and reduces the amount of time required to be in person.
The in-person training will take place on Friday, October 17, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at the ESU 1 Central Office in Wakefield. The online content must be completed prior to attending this training.
CPI training provides verbal and physical intervention techniques to allow staff to recognize and address escalating behaviors. The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® program focuses on ways to avoid the necessity to restrain students by understanding behavior, learning to respond appropriately, reinforcing prevention techniques, and practicing the principles of nonharmful physical intervention.
