 dentify ways to reduce the risk.\n\nABC’s of Safe Sleep   (1 Hour) \nThere
  are ways to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).  As a
  result of this workshop\, child care providers will:  define Sudden Unexp
 ected Infant Death (SUID): discuss how research and statistics change the 
 way we do things\;  develop prevention strategies and identify information
  to share with parents\;  develop a sleep policy and create a plan.\n\nNev
 er Shake a Child  (1 Hour)                               \nEveryone is at 
 risk of shaking a baby. When a baby is shaken\, the shaking can cause brai
 n damage\, life changing disabilities\, and even death.  This is one child
 hood injury that is preventable.  You will be able to define Shaken Baby S
 yndrome\, understand the consequences of shaking a baby\, list different r
 easons a baby might be crying\, and create a personal plan.\n
